Over twenty years ago, Mr. Wave Chow joined AIA. With steadfast faith and a relentless spirit, he overcame various challenges throughout his career. Amidst the 2009 financial crisis, he earned the MDRT Lifetime Membership qualification. Today, he leads a professional team of over 130 members. He has also received multiple industry honors, including the D.M.A. from the Life Underwriters Association of Hong Kong (LUA) and the M.A.A. from GAMA International. His achievements have garnered widespread recognition in the industry and are truly remarkable.
Wave has long had a vision. As early as 2002, he began actively recruiting and nurturing IANGs (non-local graduates staying or returning to Hong Kong to work). Over the years, he has cultivated many professionals. As the founder of UTOPIA, Wave and his team have created a platform to realize dreams through entrepreneurship and help clients achieve theirs as well.

Mr. Wave Chow joined AIA in 1997. Within just two years, he earned membership in the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), and in 2009, he attained MDRT Lifetime Membership status. Beyond achieving personal success, Wave finds joy in helping others succeed. Over the years, he has continuously nurtured talent and built a highly professional and high-quality sales team, the majority of whom hold bachelor’s degrees or above.
Under Wave’s leadership, the UTOPIA team shines year after year. Last year, they once again exceeded expectations—achieving a remarkable 100% MDRT qualification rate, with 38.7% attaining TOT and COT levels. This outstanding performance placed them first among all AIA Hong Kong district teams in terms of MDRT qualification percentage.
Wave cherishes each UTOPIA team member and deeply values their character and growth journey. His warmth and dedication as a leader have cultivated a family-like atmosphere. Wave is like family to me; we got to know each other back in college. After graduating, he joined AIA as a financial advisor. I knew brother Wave since 2 years ago as he joined our church Friday night fellowship when he trusted Jesus as His Lord and Savior.

Wave had great foresight. As early as 2002, he began recruiting IANG talents—non-local graduates staying in or returning to Hong Kong for employment. He recruited me, and I later saw in the news that I was actually the first IANG in all of Hong Kong to work in the insurance industry. That’s why he is known in the industry as the “Father of IANG.”
Back then, visa processing wasn’t as smooth as it is today. Many companies were reluctant to deal with the hassle of recruiting us. Fortunately, Wave and the company persevered for nine months until they successfully brought me on board. I have what I have today because of that, and I’m truly grateful to him.
